Mining and Ventilation Engineer

We are seeking a Mining and Ventilation Engineer to join our team at East Mine in Huntly.  If you are self-motivated and enjoy a challenge then read on.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role is responsible for assisting in the design, development and implementation of mining and resource engineering systems for our East Underground Mine operations.   We are looking for a well experienced coal mining engineer with strong ventilation skills or exposure. 

The successful applicant will have:

·         A tertiary level Engineering qualification, preferably with a mining industry qualification

·         3 + years Underground Mining experience

·        Knowledge of ventilation engineering and basic survey techniques is preferred

·         Computer skills – Excel and Access

Experience with Vulcan and/or AutoCAD software and ventilation modeling software would be a plus but is not essential.
